Instead today a paean (which I thought was pronounced “pay-een”)
To that lean, mean creative Celine.
Actor, writer, producer, director
She’s worked in just about every sector.
Do-gooder (the Peace Corps), grad student and booking queen -
Such a multi-hyphenate, Celine.
Smart and kind, friendly and focused
So peppy, her life is no Day of the Locust
If you’ve met her but once, you’ll know what I mean –
She’s that lean, mean creative Celine!
